Prices range from several hundred dollars to thousands, but if you are willing to use a customized template, then the cost is greatly reduced. The key to getting a successful video is that the company you choose understands you, your business and your message. It is their expertise that will distill down the long (and very important) story you are wrapped up in, into 30 to 60 seconds of sizzle that will stimulate your customer to act.
Because there is such a wide range of possibilities, making sure you are clear on the kind of results you seek is one of the major contributions you can make to it’s success. Is education your goal, or credibility? Are you focused on bringing people back to your site on a regular basis or do you expect them to act at once? Knowing the kind of results you want to get ensures that you get them!
If you have either products or services a video showcasing the benefits or features can be a great investment. If you keep the costs low, then you can afford to invest in a library of tips, techniques or showcasing client result stories that, by rotating, will keep your site fresh with interesting content with no additional work, on your part.
These videos are small enough that they can be placed anywhere and used in email campaigns, in blog posts and in many other places to provide a continuous reminder of your expertise and success. If you don’t have a YouTube Channel, then you are missing out on yet another way to drive traffic to your site getting your word out! Using good SEO practices with these videos will raise awareness of you and what you do without additional expense.
An effective website is not a static poster, but a living, dynamic source of inspiration and education. Explainer videos are a wonderful way to bring fresh, vibrant, entertaining content to your website, encouraging your visitors to come back to see more. These videos require very little expertise to post on your site, making it easy to change them on a regular basis.
Find a vendor who will do for you what I do for my clients – keep your costs low! I cheerfully use video and photos that you already have to help keep your costs within budget. You can ‘do it yourself’ or use something you have paid another vendor to get double duty. Using stock photos, free audio and customizing templates are other ways of reducing the final price. I do offer my won services for video inserts and photos, but If you already have them, then use them!
Be sure to see videos the vendor has done for others to get a good idea of what they can do for you. I have pages of demos you can see to choose a style that you like and that fits your business. It is easy to add your logo and colors to make the video look like you! You want to make sure that your customers think of you when they see that video, no matter where they see it – even on TV!
